An All American Standard
2023 I travelled the #USA for a couple of weeks without a mission or question in mind.
As always, when you expect the least, it is the smallest most casual encounters or conversations that tell the story or give you an idea of the people, a country and society.
From sitting with Trump-supporters by the camp fire drinking whiskey wanting to know what we Europeans think about America, to talking to Mexicans in Tucson or Democrats in San Diego in favor of The Wall. Life is more complex than the stereotypes we nurture and that’s what I love about it.
Here a „few” impressions of a journey with an unknown ending. I enjoyed my time over there and met lots of lovely people with varying attitudes and thoughts about an all American standard and whether or not it exists…
